The Listserve

1. To subscribe, send the following email to LISTSERV@LISTSERV.UC.EDU with the following in the body of the message:

  subscribe BPG-L First MI Last

The "First MI Last" may be in any format they wish including titles (DR, MR, MRS...etc). This is what will appear in the FROM: line when LISTSERV distributes the messages to all subscribers of the list, so that everyone will know who posted the message.

2. To withdraw or unsubscribe from the list, send the following message to <listserv@listserv.uc.edu>: ignore the subject and on the first line type

"signoff BPG-L <your name>"

Be sure to use your "subscribed" name, including titles, etc.

3. To send a message to those on the list, please send an email to the following address: <BPG-L@LISTSERV.UC.EDU>

4. The BPG-L Archive is on the web at the following URL:

    http://listserv.uc.edu/archives/bpg-l.html

This threads the discussion according to topics. Using RE: "...." (subject being discussed) permits the threading to take place.

5. Additional services. Each subscriber may change the setting for their own individual account. NOTE: The command used is SET, and the format is as follows: SET list_name option.

 A. To turn off mail from a list, but remain subscribed:

            set BPG-L nomail

This command is useful, for instance, if you go on vacation or sabbatical,
and don't want mail to accumulate in their account while you are away.

B. To turn mail from the list back on:

            set  BPG-L mail

C. Digest mode (all messages during the day compiled into one delivery) is available for the list. A subscriber may opt for Digest mode by sending the following command to  listserv@listserv.uc.edu:

            SET bpg-l digest
